Online mastering services compared: Choose a mastering service from what each one publishes.
Online mastering services compared on their own product and help pages, checked on 12 October 2026: LANDR, eMastered, BandLab, Mixea, Masterchannel and Aria, with a closure note on CloudBounce. A feature comparison, not an output-quality ranking or a test of paid accounts; unconfirmed details say so.

Selected-provider features were checked against linked primary sources on 12 October 2026. Current US prices were not confirmed for LANDR, eMastered, BandLab Membership or Mixea. “Not published” or “unconfirmed” means the reviewed public pages do not establish the detail, not that a feature is absent. No authenticated render, output-quality test or post-purchase revision test was performed. Check current terms before buying.

LANDR
LANDR offers free mastering previews, style and Low/Medium/High loudness choices, reference mastering and optional Volume Match. Its current product page lists Essentials with MP3 and Standard/Pro with WAV and HD WAV. The May 2026 revision help says Studio and all Mastering plans include unlimited revisions. Numeric LUFS target entry and the exact post-download unlock boundary remain unconfirmed in these public sources. Check the current pricing page for the plan and billing terms available to you.

eMastered
eMastered offers a free original/master preview with paid downloads and mastering controls for strength, EQ, width and volume. Its April 2026 Studio-plan help lists unlimited mastering, distribution, stem separation, ATOM and Linkify under fair usage, with several billing schedules and regional differences. The public sources reviewed do not confirm numeric LUFS target entry, level matching or the exact existing-version download entitlement. Current US subscription prices were not confirmed.

BandLab Mastering
BandLab documents Universal, Fire, Clarity and Tape as free presets with WAV and MP3 downloads. Membership adds Natural, Spatial, Cinematic and Punch, plus intensity controls; the current workflow also allows editing an existing master. Reference mastering and additional controls have their own plan terms. Numeric LUFS target entry and a finished-master loudness readout remain unconfirmed in the reviewed public documentation.

Mixea (DistroKid)
Mixea documents fifteen combinations of intensity and EQ, an original/master preview, and WAV/MP3 downloads. The first mastered track is free, followed by an annual unlimited offer; the current public page returned a regional currency, so no current US annual price is asserted here. A per-track offer is also documented through DistroKid. Numeric target entry and later-library revision rules remain unconfirmed.

Masterchannel
Masterchannel advertises unlimited projects and mastering downloads, album/bulk mastering and storage. Its current yearly Artist price is $180, and Professional adds changes after mastering. The beta workflow describes EQ, gain before limiting, width and reference controls; the analysis view reports integrated and short-term LUFS and sample peak. A numerical target picker, true-peak readout and exact post-download revision rules remain unconfirmed. Sample peak is not the same measurement as true peak.

CloudBounce
CloudBounce is a closed historical service. Its login notice gave 1 April 2025; the final notice on Image-Line’s site gives 30 June 2025 and says the technology continues inside FL Studio/FL Cloud. Those dates are notices from different sources, not two current offers. No reopened standalone service was confirmed.
If you came here looking for it: the preview on this site is free and full length, the download is $4.99 a track or $15 a month, and every master comes back with its measurements.
Where the published numbers are wrong
LANDR’s blog prints figures the platforms never published.
LANDR’s guide to LUFS metering, updated 18 August 2025, attributes a loudness figure to six platforms. Checked against each platform’s own documentation, four publish no loudness figure at all, Apple publishes one only for Dolby Atmos and surround deliveries, and Spotify publishes a different set of numbers.
Scrolls sideways
| LANDR’s blog says | The platform itself |
|---|---|
| “YouTube’s normalization standard is around -14 LUFS” | YouTube publishes no loudness figure — it documents a “Stable Volume” setting with no number |
| “TIDAL normalizes to a level of -14 LUFS” | TIDAL publishes no loudness documentation; a help-centre search for “loudness” returns nothing |
| “Amazon Music’s loudness standard is -14 LUFS” | Amazon Music publishes no figure — a how-to for switching normalisation on, and nothing else |
| “Deezer’s standard is at -14 LUFS” | Deezer publishes no figure — a user toggle, documented without a number |
| “Apple Music … roughly corresponds to -16 LUFS” | Apple publishes no stereo loudness figure; its only one is a −18 LKFS ceiling for Dolby Atmos and surround deliveries. −16 appears in none of its documents |
| “Spotify normalizes tracks to -14 LUFS for desktop playback and -11 LUFS for mobile devices” | Spotify publishes three listener settings, Loud −11, Normal −14 and Quiet −19 dB LUFS, with no split by device |

Questions
Questions about the comparison.
Which automatic mastering service is cheapest?
BandLab offers free mastering downloads with its free presets. This site’s per-track master is $4.99; LANDR’s current product page lists a $10 single master and Aria lists $9.90. Formats, controls and plan terms differ, and current US subscription prices were not confirmed for every service here. Compare the linked current offers before deciding.
Which one lets me set a LUFS target?
This site offers Dynamic −14, Balanced −11, Full −9 and Extra loud −8 LUFS targets at a −1.0 dBTP ceiling by default, or −0.1 dBTP if you choose it. Other providers offer loudness or intensity controls, and AI Mastering also documents target-loudness customization. The public pages reviewed for these six competitors do not confirm the same numerical picker; that is not proof they lack one. Read how the target and achieved readings work here.
Is BandLab mastering really free?
Yes. Its current FAQ documents the Universal, Fire, Clarity and Tape presets with WAV and MP3 downloads. Membership adds more presets and intensity controls. Check the current FAQ and reference-mastering terms for the paid controls you need.
What happened to CloudBounce?
It closed. Its own login notice gave 1 April 2025; Image-Line’s final notice gives 30 June 2025 and says the technology continues inside FL Studio/FL Cloud. No reopened standalone CloudBounce service was confirmed.
How was this comparison made, and can it be wrong?
The selected-provider summaries were checked against public product, help and pricing pages on 12 October 2026. The separate platform-standards comparison retains its dated September source record. These are documentation checks, not tests of mastering accuracy or paid accounts. Prices can vary by region, old help can lag the current offer, and unconfirmed means exactly that. Check the source pages and your checkout terms before deciding.
Hear it before you compare anything else.
